Account deletion

Delete your degenerates account.

This page explains the account-deletion process. Actual account deletion is handled in the app because the app can re-authenticate with your passkey before deleting account records.

In-App Deletion

Open Settings in the degenerates app, choose the account deletion option, and confirm with your passkey.

If You Cannot Access The App

Email degenerates@degens.agency. Include your Matrix account ID if you know it. This support path is for help and disclosure; support may need to verify account control and may direct you back to the in-app passkey flow when available.

What Is Deleted

Account records managed by the auth service are deleted after passkey re-authentication. Matrix room content follows Matrix room behavior and may remain visible to other room participants or in limited operational backups for a retention period.

Encrypted History

Deleting an account does not restore or export encrypted history. If device keys or passkey-backed backups are unavailable, older encrypted messages may remain unrecoverable.
